We were acquainted at Western Washington University in the same campus ministry, as well as in the Art Department. After living in different cities for years, in 2018 Saylah was blogging about the World Race, an international missions program. Ben was intrigued by her honesty and heart for others, he supported her and emailed her here and there not really expecting to see her again. But what Ben didn't know is that Saylah was planning on moving back to Seattle, WA, the same city he had just moved to. Still watching her adventures from afar, Saylah was on an African safari and Ben got the idea to ask her to go to the zoo when she got back to Seattle. And the rest is history, lots of adventures around Seattle, and many laughs later, we got engaged at the zoo one year later. Now, after many months of wedding planning through a pandemic and Ben's bad bicycle accident, these two are finally getting married!!!
